About

When I was a child, I wanted to be many things: a ballerina, an actress, a paleontologist (or dinosaur scientist, as I called it). Those things changed all the time, but the one thing that never changed: I have wanted to be a writer for almost as long as I can remember.

Though I’ve been writing stories all my life, I began writing toward publication in 2002, publishing several short storeis and writing five unpublished novels since then. It was during this time that I began blogging about novels I read, which led me to contribute to the now-nonexistent book blog Debuts and Reviews run by a href=”http://tianevitt.com” title=”Tia Nevitt”>Tia Nevitt. So my book reviewing grew from my fiction writing network, and book reviewing has benefited my fiction writing as well.

I am currently enmeshed in a couple of writing projects one of which is my historical fantasy novel Hex, set in Pennsylvania in the late 1700s and involving characters from German myth. I am not reviewing books anywhere at the moment, though I am interested in finding a good review site or blog that will have me.

In addition to writing, I enjoy acting, singing, drawing, and painting–though these aer hobbies, unlike my writing. In the past, I have worked as a waitress, a telemarketer, a library page, and a Renaissance festival employee. I live with my husband and kids in Ohio.
